Multi- Wood©
The Multi-Wood© is a composite panel, patented by Atelier Anna Arpa in 2022, featuring a variety of solid wood essences.
The dimensions and assortment of timber pieces may vary accordingly to the project’s necessities, providing the Multi-Wood© with extreme flexibility to meet diverse aesthetic piece requirements.
Crafted by skilled Italian artisans, the Multi-Wood© results from extensive research dedicated to offering a timeless material such as solid wood with a fresh and contemporary expression, moving on from conventional crafting patinas. Its production demands comprehensive knowledge of various timber essences and a careful exploration of optimal manufacturing processes. This innovative material aims to present a contemporary interpretation of the traditional inlay woodworking technique, crafted from solid wood this time.

This versatile material enables the creation of impressive artifacts, exemplified one among many by the s/m-w desk, whose tabletop features a pattern crafted from ca 15,000 wooden fragments originating from 10 different timber essences.
In a world where artificial intelligence and industrial automation are becoming more prevalent, it’s essential to understand the importance of reconnecting with our origins. Tradition is, in fact, the epitome of modernity. It’s about rediscovering our roots. This involves articulating a design dialect, blending global ideas with regional and local nuances. The objective is for the pieces to evoke a sense of “lucid wonder” in the observer, aiming to transform the conventional approach linked with formal traditions, all the while utilizing the most timeless materials.
