The deliberate incorporation of a large colored block as the central feature of the room is intended to evoke the rich history of the project location. Within this terrazzo plinth, all functional elements, such as the toilet, bidet, sinks and shower, are thoroughly arranged.
As part of the renovation, the arrangement of the room’s existing elements has been redesigned to improve comfort and optimize natural lighting. A new central element takes center stage in the space, serving both as a platform for the two sinks with matching mirrors and as a structure for the spacious walk-in shower. This versatile central feature greatly enhances the overall coherence of the terrazzo plinth.
In order to establish a clear distinction between the upper and lower parts, all components positioned above the terrazzo are coated in a white hue. This design approach carries over to the floor-to-ceiling cabinet, with the lower section in grey and the upper section in white, following the slope of the ceiling.
Attention to exquisite details, such as brass towel hangers and sophisticated glazed-ceramic lighting, enhances the richness of the space while remaining faithful to the primary design concept.
